Personality

Kristen is a Starfleet brat born and raised in space. Her childhood aboard starships has given her a comfort level surrounded by Starfleet. Choosing a career in service to the Federation was probably a given. She has also had an extensive exposure to alien cultures as a child and teenager and this shaped the way the viewed the universe. She is far more comfortable on an alien space station then the streets of Earth.

Backstory

Kristen was born aboard the USS Constitution in 2355. She was the daughter of two Starfleet officers; Lieutenant Jessica Young and Lt Cmdr Mark Young; who managed to serve together throughout her entire childhood. Kristen was born and raised in space and because of that she has a wealth of experience in the field that makes her seem knowledgeable beyond her years. By the age of 5 she had seen more worlds then most would see in a lifetime. Over the years she took a particular interest in exploring alien cultures and this has caused her to take up a few interesting hobbies. In her spare time she can be found playing Tango or Caltoe. She has always taken a particular interest in Ferengi culture. She finds them to be an endearing people. Once you accept the greed, misogyny and lack of loyalty. She graduated Starfleet academy and was assigned to her first posting aboard Starbase Athena.
