The S31 Stork [Archangel/Jiseth/Zero]

With slight tilt as she turned her head, Jiseth kissed Zero's cheek.

"I had never seen such cruelty make someone so beautiful suffer. All the things over the years the Tal Shiar had done... I thought I had escaped that in Starfleet, only to see some shared their appetite for barbarism. Now, looking back on it, I don't regret what I did to get you out of there. I'm glad you're safe."

Zero could feel her cheeks heat up as blood rushed to them, turning them a pale pink in their blush. Their first days together had certainly been eventful, given that Starfleet Medical had been insistent on correcting what they had deemed to be a flaw in her behaviour when it came to her association with the Romulan in her arms.

She smiled softly, reaching up to steal a soft kiss from Jiseth's lips. "The excitement of the evening and my dance exercises have left me fatigued, e'lev. Shall we retire to bed?"

It felt like forever and yet it was gone in an instant, the wonderful feeling of their kiss. It was an act repeated countless times since they had met, but each no less precious. Jiseth gave one last squeeze in her warm arms before separating though it would not be for long. They always seemed to drift close to one another in their sleep.

"Yes, let's. It's been a long day."

Their regular routine went on before bed, aside from the realization that the other room contained their unborn child now free to grow. As she lay on the mattress, Jiseth's eyes failed to focus on anything other than the pale woman who shared the title of mother.

"I love you, Zero."
