Born in Los Angeles, California, Kaitlin lived with her family of three well away from any civilisation. Kaitlin was a very reserved person, which left her with three friends, her family.

At the age of 15, Kaitlin's family was robbed and her parents where both shot, her father in the chest and mother in the heart immediately killing her mother and leaving her father to slowly bleed out before medical could do anything about it.

The two children got cared to by a family of two, Steph and Aleksandr Romamov, a Russian couple who moved to LA from Moscow. Steph is British and moved to Moscow with Aleksandr after meeting.

Steph and Aleksandr lived in the middle of LA, which forced Kaitlin to socialise with some of the other people in her age group. She is still fairly reserved but is nowhere near as closed off as she used to be.

When Kaitlin was 16, she worked very hard at school to achieve the best grades possible then at the age of 17 enlisted into the starfleet academy working towards becoming a helmsman. She spent two years at the academy perfecting her trade and at the age of 19 she awaited her first post.

You have arrived at your newest assignment...

The USS Philadelphia, the Massive Ambassador class stormed over Kaitlin like she was merely an ant, the paintwork was scratched and you could tell the ship was old and past it's prime, but hey ho it was a posting and she couldn't complain.

The PADD held under her arm stated that this was her first post was here and she was to board immediately to report to a, lieutenant commander, Arnold Gerard, the 'DH' of flight aboard the Philadelphia.

Kaitlin walked onto the ship and made her way towards the turbo lift located in the bottom of the ship. As she entered the Turbolift she checked herself over, making sure she was as smart as possible, she didn't want to make a bad impression   on her new superiors. "Turbolift." The lift begun to rise after she spoke.

'Don't make a bad impression.' Went through her mind repeatedly as the Turbolift went up to the bridge.

The Turbolift doors emerged to show the giant bridge of the ambassador, there were several hubs for every single trade in starfleet, tactical/security, science, engineering, the list went on.

Kaitlin walked up to the helm and located the lieutenant commander, who was sat piloting the ship. "Lieutenant commander Gerard I presume?" She asked stood to attention.

Gerard looked at Kaitlin. "Ahh you must be the new crewman coming aboard, Kaitlin Dexter I believe?" Kaitlin gave an instant reply "You would be correct sir, reporting for duty."
